The Sand Creek Massacre of 1864 is one of the bloodiest days in Colorado’s history. The Sand Creek Massacre Spiritual Healing Run/Walk committee and supporters are commemorating the 145th anniversary of the tradegy at Sand Creek on Nov. 26-28. Runners from Montana, Oklahoma and Colorado will begin the at the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site 18 miles northeast of Eads, Colo. and arrive in Denver for special events open to the public.
